Harvest Festival

Thank you very much for your donations to our harvest festival assembly this morning. We were blown away once again by your generosity. The children learnt about harvest festivals around the world and sang songs, including a fantastic number by Mrs Bate's choir.
Afterwards, Mrs Barratt, Mrs Lawton, Mrs McGowan and Mrs Prestage from Friends of Weston helped the ambassadors to sort the food, before the ambassadors took the non-perishable items to the Salvation Army in Crewe. They discovered where the food is stored and how it is distributed and the staff were incredibly grateful, as our donation will help lots of less fortunate people in the area.
Later in the day, all of Year 6 headed out into Weston and gave lots of elderly local residents a very welcome food parcel. They were commended for their warmth and excellent manners.
