Whole School Author Visit and Cartoon Workshop

Thanks to the Friends of Weston, via Mrs Lumley-Wood, the school enjoyed a visit from local author Mark Wilcox (also known as Wilf). He spent the whole day with us and inspired us all to get creative with words and illustrations. After a whole school assembly in which he shared his illustration skills and his books, including the The Dabberwocky (an insight into the monsters of Nantwich), Mark worked with children from every class throughout the day. Using the story that the whole school wrote for World Book Day, the children created their own illustrations for each section, using Mark's expert tuition. Many of these illustrations will appear in a professionally published book of our World Book Day story, which will be available to buy soon - a great opportunity to own a copy of authentic Weston literature!
