We have had a fantastic first day back so far. It has been lovely to welcome all of the new starters in Reception - we can tell already that they'll have fun and find success this year!
In assembly this morning we spoke about change. This included the differences between term time and holiday time and how important uniform and being on time are. The children shared some of the differences for them from last year to this year and we talked about how normal it is to feel excited, apprehensive or anything in-between about change. We said it's like a new pair of shoes - it can feel strange and even uncomfortable at first but over time it feels just right. Finally we discussed what children can do if they feel worried and how important it is to look out for each and recognise and respect everyone's differences.
We are ready for another year of learning and fun!
