Black History Month

For the start of Black History Month, the children had an assembly to identify what it is and why we observe it. Our curriculum promotes the rights and achievements of non-white people including black people, across many subjects. This includes a large strand of our PSHE curriculum - Respecting Rights. Ask your child about their learning - can they talk to you about the life and achievements of Mary Seacole, Walter Tull, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Matthew Henson, Arthur Wharton or Katherine Johnson?
